It’s Friday
and that means we’re back with a new GRAND post for you all!
Easter has come and gone and we’re finally in full-fledged Spring mode,Â
while still keeping our fingers crossed that the snowblowerÂ
has made it's last appearance of the year here in Minnesota!
(Yes... it's happened before!)

to share a few glimpses into what’s been going on in our worlds
as well as a few of the things we’ve been focused on here at Our Grand Lives!

While both of us spent the holiday with family,
one of us had a full house, spending Easter with LOTS of family and loved ones.
and one of us had a quiet, intimate celebration!Â

Laurie spent all week preparing for the big day…
the first gathering in their newly remodeled home!

We had a big crowd this year! Â
My husband and I hosted our immediate and extended families
as well as a few close friends!
We were SO excited that our remodeling project wrapped up,
just in time for us to host our loved ones!
We had a delicious dinner,Â
and enjoyed the competition our annual family egg drop brings!

Lots of eggs were found during our Little’s Egg Hunt

and then the hunt was on for our Middles!

They got some help along the way, too!
Other highlights from the day included our yearly candy tasting survey!
In the past, we’ve tasted different flavors of PeepsÂ

and then one year it was jelly beans.

THIS YEAR, we voted for our favorite flavor of Hershey Kisses!

Who knew that there were so many flavors to choose from?
It was a close finish!

The Rainbow Brownie kiss won by a hair!
It was a day filled with lots and lots of fun!
Great conversations, laughter and love…
and, of course, our hollow bunny toast, too!

It was a GRAND Easter, indeed!

Meanwhile, Laura and her hubby had a relatively quiet holiday
and while we missed the traditional time with extended family
we weren’t complaining!
We have three family weekends ahead
each filled with lots of celebrating
and
lots of traveling back and forth between Minnesota and Wisconsin.
With that in mind, we decided to keep things simple for Easter weekend!
It was definitely different from our norm
but lovely just the same!

Look at all the cars waiting to get into our church parking lot on Easter morning!
It was the place to be!

ALLELUIA! He is risen!
He is risen indeed! ALLELUIA!
Our youngest, Daughter A, joined us at church
and then, for the first time ever,
we went out for Easter brunch!
(Usually I’m in the kitchen prepping away!)
We went to the rooftop restaurant at Restoration Hardware
and it was stunning!

We had a lovely meal (with no cooking or clean up!)
plus quality time with our #2! Â

And Hubby even had options with all of his dietary restrictions!

No yummy ciabatta toast for him, though!

Of course, the day wasn’t complete
without a special FaceTime call with our sweet little bunnies!

They sure make everything extra GRAND!

We took Holy Week off from writing any new blog posts
and while we missed this community
it was good for our souls!
However, earlier this week we did share a past post
with some of our favorite link ups…

A Family Fiesta!
Springtime always makes us think ofÂ
patio time and cool beverages
and with Cinco de Mayo right around the corner,
it’s a great excuse to plan a Mexican-themed party!
If interested, check out our post from last year
when we shared our ideas
- finger foods, decor & crafts and games & activities -
just what you might need to liven up any festive get-together!

You'll find all the details here!

Then yesterday, we were back from our brief hiatus
with a new post focused on
Mother’s Day Treasures!

In yesterday’s post, we shared new craft ideas that Littles can make
for the special moms (and Grands) in their lives!

And here’s one more idea to add to our collection…
This is a gift that Laurie’s daughter gave her last year for Mother’s Day!
A GIft for Grammy!
What a wonderful surprise this was!
Something that could easily be recreated!
It is an acrylic block with my Littles’ handprints painted on it!

A GRANDÂ gift to be treasured always!

As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
